Chaplain's Message

Rev. Jimmy Pham, CSsR

Dear Friends,

I would like to use the words from Psalm 116 to thank all of you for pyraing for me as a made my final Redemptorist Vows, the vow of chastity, of obedience, and of poverty.  "What can I offer the Lord for all his goodness to me?" (Ps 116:12)

Thank you so much for your love and support.  Now I am fully Redemptorist but I have to learn how live as a Redemptorist.  Please continue to pray for me so that I will become a holy Redemptorist.

Thank you so much.

Fr. Jimmy Pham

Grand Knight's Message

My brother Knights & families,

As we celebrate our council 30th birthday in February, I like to share with you  a prayer for Fr. McGivney as our Knight of Columbus’s founder (1882) as an apostle to the young, a protector of Christian & family life. The founder’s day observe on March 29.  Please sign up for Fr. McGivney’s Guild – it is free to brother Knights & family members.  Members in the organization promote & continue to pray for the cause for canonization of Fr. McGivney.

Congratulate to Father Jimmy on his vow to the CSsR priesthood on February 2, 2006 in Houston, Texas & Brother Ray on his 40th anniversary. Congratulate to our brother knight Tom Dalton of his award at Brooklyn Center – 95th birthday on February 4, 2006.  Our council has been benefited by many of our brother knights and families who have been volunteered tirelessly with the youth, families, community, churches etc.

We had a busy schedule in January & February with Pancake Breakfasts, major degree at St. Vincent de Paul (Jan.28), Anoka KC hall (Feb.12). Free Throw contests (council & district), rosary at wake & funeral of 2 of our brother knights within 3 weeks, dealers at Ace High casino, council annual retreat in Buffalo, participate at St. Al parish school – Catholic School Week – Teachers & support staff appreciation, and sponsor the benefit dinner for retired redemptorists ( last weekend of February) with a many volunteers from our council.

Congratulate & my appreciation to all of you.  Thank you for your time, talent & treasure. Continue to pray for our military men & women and their families. Welcome all new KC members who joined our council during January & February 2006.  Please join our brother Knights in planning & mark calendar to attend our 30th council birthday & award banquet on Saturday – May 6th, 2006.
